Condolences

Otto Amundson

of Hythe, AB
July 7, 1934 - February 12, 2023

Growing up alongside daughter Donna and son David at Muncho Lake on the Alaska Highway I knew Otto as a formidable presence, a tall cowboy with the always kind smile. I remember Otto a model father and husband and neighbour, he was truly a great friend to my family and my heart goes out to his family and friends now.

I’m so sad to hear of your loss. Your Dad was a wonderful and special man. I was always happy when I ran into him over the years. The last time I saw him was in the A&W in GP where I was happy to be able to introduce him to my twin boys. I will always remember visiting with Otto and Margaret at the farm. I could never forget them letting us ride Kamanche and the other horses as young children. What a treat! I remember the “party line” they shared with my grandparents when I’d sometimes pick up the phone to make a call. They were always kind and caring to me and my family. Otto was always so genuine and a “one of a kind” person. I’m happy I could know him. The world lost a good one. Hugs to you all during this difficult time.

Dear Donna & Families, I am saddened to hear that your beloved Dad & Grandfather Otto, has passed away. I had the great pleasure of knowing Otto & your lovely Mum Margaret through Gunnar & Mabel & the Krantz kids. What lovely folks they were. My parents always enjoyed visiting with your folks too. Peace too Otto and Each of you
