Beatrice “Bea” Flora Davis passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 71 years.

Bea was born in Hay River, NT on February 24, 1949, second child to Myles Joseph and Violet Marie Bellerose. As a small child she lived in the Army Barracks in Edmonton, AB until the age of 13 when they relocated to Dawson Creek, BC.

Beatrice had her first son, Christopher Bellerose, when she was a young lady. Bea married Fraser LaVanway in 1966. In July 1968 they welcomed their first daughter Vallee in Dawson Creek, BC. They moved to Saskatoon, SK in 1968 and welcomed Kenneth in 1969.

In June of 1971 Beatrice met her lifelong companion, best friend and husband Sheldon Davis.  They welcomed two children together in Dawson Creek, BC, Aaron in 1974 and Michelle in 1977. Beatrice and Sheldon spent short periods of time in Prince George, Chilliwack and Prince Albert before settling in Dawson Creek for 18 years. In 1995 Bea and Sheldon re-located once more to Grande Prairie, AB.

Soon after Bea started work with the Salvation Army Thrift Store where she enjoyed serving her community for 16 years. Once the store closed in 2012, she retired and enjoyed her days at home baking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her siblings were: Evelyn (John) Wilson – deceased June 1, 2012, Frankie (Jessie) Bellerose, Brian Bellerose – deceased December 25, 2007, and Brenda (Eric) Ruthven – deceased July 2020.

Beatrice is survived by her son Chris Bellerose; daughter Vallee (Terry) Gliege; granddaughter Amanda (Darron) Laycock, and great-grandchildren: Hannah, Silas, Elijah, Zachariah and Lydia; granddaughter Sarah (Rance) Mclean and great-grandson Kruise; granddaughter Ashley Gliege (deceased July 23, 2020), and great-grandchildren: Hunter and Ava; and granddaughter Krystal (Tim) Pealo; son Kenneth LaVanway-Davis; grandchildren: Jessie, Jessica, Willow, Kennedy, and Credence; son Aaron Davis, grandson Billy-Jack (Rena) Davis, granddaughter Sheeta Davis and great-grandchildren: Daimon Whislter and Silk Nightsun, and grandson Marshall-Arcs Davis; daughter Michelle (Trevor) Pimm, granddaughter Sydnee (Jordan) Davis and great-grandchild Mischa, and grandchildren: Ricky Pimm, Theodore Pimm, and Isabelle Klassen.
