Luke Seltenhammer, resident of Jasper, AB, formerly of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, in Jasper, at the age of 25 years.

Luke was born in Lethbridge, AB, on June 29, 1996. He moved to Grande Prairie in July 2004, where he attended GP Composite High School and Peace Wapiti Academy. He was a member of the Grande Prairie Air Cadets – 577 Dragon Riders, played snare drum for the band, and reffed minor hockey in Wembley, AB.

Luke loved his friends and spending time with them. He also loved the outdoors and living in the mountains. He enjoyed hiking, camping, kayaking, snowboarding, and snowshoeing.

He will be sadly missed by his parents Colin and Arlene Nowee of Grande Prairie, dad Mike Seltenhammer of Lethbridge, AB, brothers Declan Nowee and Kyle Nowee, sister Belle Seltenhammer, Oma and Opa Rudi and Inga Seltenhammer of Lethbridge, grandma Sandra Nowee of Calgary, AB, grandpa Gerry Yard of Taber, AB, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Luke was predeceased by his grandpa Ed Nowee of Calgary, grandma Cheryl Yard of Taber, and grandpa Robert Scott of Taber.

A Memorial Service for Luke will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, 2:00pm at Jasper Lutheran Church, Jasper (300 Pyramid Lake Rd.)
