Justin Lee Trainer

of Grande Prairie, Alberta
November 25, 1985 - November 17, 2021

Justin Lee Trainer, resident of Grande Prairie, AB; formerly of Medicine Hat, AB passed away on November 17, 2021, at his parents’ home in Grand Prairie at the age of 35 years.

Mourning his sudden passing; parents Russell and Audrey Trainer of Grande Prairie, AB, brother Jaret (Danielle) Trainer, and their children Brei and Braxtyn of Grand Prairie, AB.

He will be sadly missed by his old and new friends; aunt Jeri Trainer and aunt Marion (Albert) Christmann, uncles Merle and Marvin Klaudt, grandpa Herb Klaudt, relatives and friends of his parents. He will be remembered by his nephew Mitchell, and cousins Brian (Lana) Christmann and Jason Christmann, Robin Cowan and Brent (Laura) Cowan, Renea and Corrine, aunt Sharon.

Justin was predeceased by grandma Linda Trainer (1993), grandma Alice Klaudt (1994), grandpa Ken Trainer (2004), and uncle Harold Klaudt (2011). Justin was born in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on November 22, 1985. He attended Seven Persons School ECS to Grade 9, graduated Grade 12 from Eagle Butte High School in 2003. He was employed as a Rig Hand from 2004 - 2007, BOS Solutions GP from 2008-2015, Est. Company JLT Contracting Inc. from 2011 - 2016, In-Line Drilling (ER and best friend Russ) 2017, Big Stick Rentals (ER and mentor Kevin) 2018 - 2020. Justin bonded with Grandma Trainer from the time of his birth and liked playing crib with Grandpa Trainer. As a child, he had fun visits at the ranch with Grandma and Grandpa Klaudt, and uncles Harold and Merle. He developed a special relationship with aunt Jeri, uncle Merle, and friends Val and Seb.

Justin was heartbroken when he parted with the gal he thought was the love of his life in 2014. He also suffered with severe pain due to scoliosis and had extensive back surgery in February of 2015. He continually struggled with emotional and physical pain along with sleep issues.

Justin enjoyed spending time with his brother, sister-in-law and being an uncle to Brei and Braxtyn. His dog Buddy, which he got as a puppy in 2015 was his Best Bud and meant the world to him. To destress, Justin would walk Buddy and Blue (Jaret's dog) or work out at the gym when able to. Justin consumed several bottles or glasses of water each day, his favourite color was blue, and (most often had) sweet dark chocolate candy. He thought it was funny when I would occasionally find an empty package of my baking milk chocolate Hersheys' mini kisses that had gone missing. He laughed when we would say "he would always be our baby bear", smiled when we said, "we would love him and his bro always, forever to eternity." We so miss his hugs, the sound of his voice, his sarcastic remarks meant to be funny, and texts.

Highlights for Justin in 2021 included his Rehabilitation Graduation Ceremony at the Calgary Dream Centre on July 2, 2021; attending his longtime friend Chris Burkett (Jessica) wedding celebration at Peace River, AB on July 17, 2021; Ownership of his black Ford Harley Davidson truck.

Justin was very loved and supported by family and friends throughout his life journey. We have to believe the angels came to take him home, as he was so tired of the constant challenges and obstacles to achieve better, brighter, happier, healthier; also hoping and wishing for his dreams to come true. A private gathering to be held in Grande Prairie for his friends, also a private gathering in Medicine Hat for his family and his friends.

Arrangements are being made for his final resting place with Saamis Prairie View Cemetery, Medicine Hat, AB. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Justin's memory to The Calgary Dream Centre Rehabilitation.
