Heather “Joanne” Winter, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Peace River, AB passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, with her family by her side, at the age of 62 years.

Joanne “JoJo” was born November 11, 1959, to Lois Farncombe and Arny Winter in Wainwright, AB. In 1964 Lois and Arny moved Joanne and her siblings to Peace River, AB where she grew up and met the love of her life of 32 years Barry Peters.  Joanne and Barry lived in Peace River and Grimshaw area then moved to Grande Prairie, in 1989, eventually moving out to the country near Bezanson, AB, in 1994, where they resided until their passing.

JoJo loved entertaining and was known for her annual poker parties. She would invite all her neighbours, family, and close friends out for a night of entertainment, food, fun, and laughter and no one ever left empty handed. 

JoJo also enjoyed crafts and building things with her hands. If she wasn’t sitting in front of a sewing machine, she would be sawing, sanding, and painting some sort of project.

JoJo will be sadly missed by her siblings: Pat (Graeme), Terry (Richard), Brian, and

Lori (Kevin). Numerous nieces, nephews, her aunt Judy, and cousins; as well as many close friends.

JoJo was predeceased by her husband Barry, Parents Arny and Lois, as well as older brother Richard.
