Lucien Thibault

of Clairmont, AB
April 7, 1940 - July 30, 2022

Lucien Camille Thibault, resident of Clairmont, AB, formerly of Falher, AB, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Prairie Lake Hospice in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 82 years.

Lucien was born in Jean Coté, AB, on April 7, 1940, to Alcide and Adeline Thibault. Lucien grew up with six siblings.

At a young age, Lucien moved to Falher, AB, where he went to school. Later in life, Lucien moved to Grande Prairie. At the time, he worked at Canfor Plywood. Lucien married Sylvia on July 11, 1981. A few years later, they moved to Clairmont.

Lucien was kind, generous, and loved to laugh. He loved his John Deere tractor and his collection of vintage metal cars and trucks.

Lucien spent lots of his time at the Clairmont Seniors Center helping, playing cards, and dancing. Lucien also volunteered at the United Church (his church family).

He will sadly be missed by his wife Sylvia, sister Claire Freeman, brother Roger Thibault, brother-in-law Bev Van Schack, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lucien was predeceased by his parents Joseph Alcide and Marie Adeline Thibault; brothers: Henri Thibault, and Marcel Thibault; and sister Eva Baker.

A Celebration and Remembrance of Life will take place Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at 9915-100 Ave in Clairmont, AB.
