Doreen Ellen Cook, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, Formerly of Victoria, BC passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Prairie Lake Hospice in Grande Prairie, at the age of 72 years.

Doreen was born on July 24, 1949, in Duncan, BC and was raised in Langford, BC. Doreen moved to Grande in 2009 to be closer to her family.

Doreen worked for many years in the Hospitality Industry. She worked many years at KFC. Doreen was also manager of Ski Hill Restaurant in Fernie, BC. Doreen moved around a bit in her life, but her heart was always in Vancouver Island, BC.

Doreen adored spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her partner Bryon Wadell; children: Keith Cook, Laverne (Chad) Andrews and Kent (Liz) Cook; grandchildren: Erica, Steven, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Chelsea, Jeremy, Jessica, Jaimee and Dallan; great-grandchildren: Korbin, Taylor, Luke, Jace, Emma, Lexy, Stella, Madilyn, Maisy, Jaxton, Bennett, Maverick, Peyton and baby on the way; as well as brother Wesley Braham.

Predeceased by her parents and brother Keith.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 12pm-4pm at Evergreen Park Old Timer Cabin (55051 Township Road 710, County of Grande Prairie).
