James Taylor
of Grande Prairie
March 13, 1955 - June 26, 2022
James “Zeke” David Taylor, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Nova Scotia, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Prairie Lake Hospice, Grande Prairie, at the age of 67 years.
James was born March 13, 1955 in New Glasgow, NS and had lived in numerous places throughout his lifetime. He was a loving and caring person who was well known for helping others and his door was always open.
James thrived on knowledge and was always reading or watching documentaries, he was a walking encyclopedia. He also enjoyed movies and music of all genres.
In James’ younger years he was very outdoorsy and loved nature. For a time he lived in a wall tent up in the Yukon year-round, he even survived a grizzly bear attack! He truly lived life to the fullest.
He was a great example of a good person who will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts.
James will be sadly missed by his sisters: Marion Taylor of New Glasgow, NS, Judith (Edwin) Robertson of Westville, NS, Bonny (Everett) MacDonald of Leduc, AB and Dianne (Johnny) Munroe of Westville, NS; Brothers; Fred (Linda) Taylor of Lethbridge, AB and Wayne (Nancy) Taylor of Grande Prairie, AB; Children: Miles Sky Taylor of Eugene, OR and Ainsley Lucas Taylor of Bend, OR; grandson: Forrest Cade Taylor of Bend, OR as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents James David Taylor and Jacqueline Roberta (Fraser) Taylor and brother Murray Richard Taylor.
Cremation has taken place with a graveside service to be held in Nova Scotia at a later date.
