In Loving Memory of
Anna Jane Toderian
(Maiden: Myette)
of Rycroft, Alberta
February 29, 1948 - May 18, 2022
Hi, I’m Anna Jane Myette Toderian also known as Mama T the Garlic Lady and as you read this you will see that I have gone to the Great Commercial Kitchen in the sky on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. I fought idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for 13 years and it finally beat me.
I was born in Pierceland, Saskatchewan on February 29, 1948 (leap year baby) to Hector Myette and Madora Payne. I lived in several places in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and B.C.
I met Lawrence Toderian and we were married on October 3, 1966. He was a construction worker so I never did know where I would end up. He showed me the world- literally. I lived in 5 countries and visited 8 others.
I rode a camel, touched an alligator, rode in a helicopter (and many different airplanes), panned for gold, paddled a canoe, rode the gondola in Banff, went dune hopping, and stood in the crater of a volcano.
I’ve had many different pets including dogs, cats, a wolf, a skunk, a raccoon, a mouse, parrots, a tortoise, and a desert fox.
I started the Rycroft Farmers Market in 2003 and encouraged the locals to “make it, bake it or grow it”
I leave behind my husband Lawrence, two sons: Lorne (Veronika), and Anthony; two grandsons Andrew and Owen.
May God bless you all.
